YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
The position requires 3-5+ equivalent years of experience or training in project management, business, logistics, Finance, customer support, or program / administrative support.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in a developmental capacity, performing assignments designed to further develop applicable logistics skills and techniques associated with project material management and Washington Item Manager (WIM) activities. Similarly, the primary responsibility for the logistics management specialist is to ensure the proper handling and financial accountability of Facilities and Equipment (F&E) funded personal property. The logistics management specialist should be experienced in the development of logistics plans for government acquisitions, understanding and projecting the spare parts sustainment needs for acquisitions as determined in the program investment analysis.
The selected individual will perform a wide variety of project material management, financial accountability, program, and administrative support. The individual will use the FAA’s Project Material Management System (PMMS) to manage, track, and requisition project materiel. The individual will also utilize the FAA’s Project Material Shipping and Receiving System (PMSRS) to record and document all costs associated with project material purchase, delivery and installation. The individual will work with teams in Tech Ops and Second Level Engineering to help estimate program sustainment needs (spare parts, technical refreshes, and projected parts failures) for the lifecycle of the program. In addition, the individual will be expected to project sustainment needs by analyzing legacy system failure analyses and sustainment reports from the Logistics Center. The individual will also generate FAA property forms, create and maintain spreadsheets, presentations, and briefing materials. The individual will also require excellent personal and communication skill to establish and foster relationships in order to both collect data and grow support.
Individual will be required to contribute effectively to internal working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships.
Crucial to this position is the willingness to adapt to client needs and learn new skills/tools when needed.
High School Diploma, or equivalent
MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, and experience using automated systems or databases.
Must be available for occasional travel.
